Rural B tapping saddles are used to make a ‘T’ connection. 
The saddle is placed around the pipe and bolted together, a hole is then drilled through the opening in the saddle and a male BSP threaded fitting is attached to the saddle. 
Rural B fittings are used in conjunction with Rural B or Green Line Pipe.

The rural tapping saddles have a unique hinged design, allowing for easier clamping to Rural Pipe, especially in narrow trenches. The single bolt fixing significantly reduces installation time. They are designed specifically for Rural PE Pipe according to AS 2698.2. They provide a F.I. BSP Threaded ¾ and 1” take-off of Rural PE Pipe. The rural tapping saddles are a cost effective solution for installing a take-off with minimal disruption to infrastructure and they are suitable for above or below ground installation. Surfaces must be clean and un-scoured.
